decorating for valentine's day

After Christmas I'm always a little disappointed at how blank the house looks once the decorations are gone.  Valentine's Day is the perfect excuse to brighten things up a bit.
This morning, I put the finishing touches on a small Valentine's Day wreath.
Love, love, love.
Inside, I put together a couple of things for Grace's Valentine's Day party at school.  As the room mom, decorations are my responsibility.
The lit string of hearts is simply dollar store doilies on a string of pink and red lights from the craft store.  All I did was poke each light bulb through one of the holes on a heart.
The string of hearts across the top is simply doilies sewn to a wide red ribbon.  I just sat at the machine stacking doilies on as I sewed.
The entire decoration project took about 30 minutes. Quick, cheap, and easy.
Finally.  I found these pretty watches at Nordstrom Rack. They seemed very Valentinesy to me so I picked up a few for grown up gifts.
