this week

My mom decided to bring home one of the cute puppies from the farm.  Ray is not a small dog person, so mom let us name the pup and assured the kids we could visit him often. 

Skip in July

I am pleased to introduce Skip the amazing chihuahua, or chi wow wow as the kids like to say. 

He's the cutest, sweetest dog ever.

And at two pounds, only a little bit bigger than Carter's shoe. 

I'm happy and a bit relieved that my amaryllis bulbs straightened out and greened up immediately after I put them in the dirt. 

Early this week I discovered that Dave Matthews just launched his new wine label - Dreaming Tree wines.  I immediately rushed out and bought one of each in the collection, a Cabernet, a Chardonnay, and a 'Crush' blend. 

Dave is a winemaker.  This makes me almost as happy as if Johnny started growing pumpkins in his backyard. 

Finally, after a week in the incubator I only had to remove one goose egg. It was covered with dog teeth marks, so I figured it was a long shot. Our chicks are due on Thanksgiving Day.  Our two geese and one duck are due one week later.
